  • I ordered an image several days ago, but it hasn't turned up yet!

    The most common explanation is that the email with your image has been caught in a spam trap somewhere. If you can, check your spam folders for emails from rowphoto.co.uk addresses. The email with your image will be titled with the image name (e.g. IMG_HOR07_0123.jpg).
    If this doesn't work, contact us , and we will resend the email as soon as possible. Please make sure of course, that it won't get caught in the spam trap again. Please note also that the images are large, typically 2.5Mb. Some email servers may reject emails of this size outright.
    If you can't for whatever reason receive your image by email, let us know and we will upload the image to a directory on the RowPhoto website for you to download.

    Why are the images not available immediately?

    There are simply too many images to store on-line. Each full image is ~2.5Mb in size, and we take up to 3000 images per event. In the past year, we have taken 25 gigabytes of images! This is just too much to store on-line.
    The full images are stored off-line, on DVDs. In addition, we always look at and adjust every purchased image by hand so that you get the best possible photo.

    What guarantee of quality can you offer?

    Check out our samples page for an indication of what the full size images look like. These are indicative of our typical image quality. Naturally of course, occasional images are not up to standard (e.g. slightly out of focus). We put these images on the website nonetheless, as the imperfections are not visible on the small images, and we know you like to see as many pictures of yourself rowing as possible!
    If you buy a photo which is not up to standard (we notice when we process the image), we will always offer you a refund. We will always send you the image however, as we prefer that you make a decision of what is acceptable quality. In any case, if you are unhappy with the quality of your image, we will refund you.

    Will you come to our event?

    Please contact us with details (date/location/entry level) of your event. We are based around Oxford, and are generally happy to travel to events within a reasonable distance; sometimes a lot further if the timing/location is right.
